Certified Emission Reduction Units

Arcadia Energy Trading sources and supplies certified emission reductions (CERs) for customers with emissions liabilities within Australia and Internationally. Arcadia Energy Trading accesses the secondary CER market through the European Climate Exchange and established relationships with international CER traders. Arcadia Energy Trading is also able to access primary CERs from proprietary and third party clean development mechanism (CDM) projects.

Arcadia Energy Trading has a registry account in the UK and will open an Australian account as soon as the Australian national registry is operational.

Arcadia Energy Trading offers CERs through over the counter contracts underpinned by the International Swaps and Derivatives Association (ISDA) terms and conditions. Arcadia Energy Trading is able transact CERs in Euro's, Australian Dollars and other major currencies. The benefits for customers include:

Renewable Energy Markets

Arcadia Energy Trading supports renewable energy generation projects in Australia as a buyer of both power and environmental certificates. As such, Arcadia Energy Trading has access to primary sources of renewable energy certificates, NSW Greenhouse Gas Abatement Certificates (NGACs) and gas electricity certificates (GECs) which it is able to offer to its customers and into the wholesale traded markets.
